• The MICHELIN Guide will continue to highlight the gastronomic excellence of Buenos Aires and Mendoza throughout 2027.

• The alliance between Visit Argentina and the MICHELIN Guide reaffirms the country's international positioning as a top-tier gastronomic destination.

The National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR - Visit Argentina) and the MICHELIN Guide announce the renewal of their alliance for the 2027 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Buenos Aires & Mendoza, continuing an initiative that has helped strengthen the international recognition of Argentine gastronomy.

Buenos Aires and Mendoza will continue to be part of the select group of culinary destinations distinguished by the prestigious international publication. The 2027 edition will once again recognize restaurants that stand out for the quality of their cuisine, evaluated completely independently by the anonymous inspectors of the MICHELIN Guide, in accordance with its international methodology.

The National Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Sports and President of INPROTUR, Daniel Scioli, stated: "The continuity of this alliance is great news for Argentine gastronomy and tourism. The MICHELIN Guide is an enormously prestigious tool that strengthens the global positioning of our destinations and helps attract travelers motivated by excellent gastronomic experiences. With this renewal, we strengthen the international recognition of our gastronomy and consolidate it as a world-class attraction."

For his part, Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, pointed out: “Over the last few years, we have witnessed the evolution and dynamism of the gastronomic scene in Buenos Aires and Mendoza, which stand out for the identity, creativity, and quality of their culinary offerings. We are very pleased to continue accompanying and recognizing the talent of local professionals, and to share the gastronomic richness of Argentina with travelers from all over the world.”

The restaurant selection for the MICHELIN Guide Buenos Aires & Mendoza is carried out completely independently by anonymous Michelin inspectors, who apply the same methodology in all the destinations where the Guide is present. The evaluation is based exclusively on the quality of the cuisine, considering the excellence of the products used, the mastery of culinary techniques, the harmony of flavors, the personality and creativity the chef expresses in each dish, and the consistency of the dining experience over time. These five international criteria guarantee an objective, uniform, and globally recognized evaluation standard.

In addition to the annual selection of restaurants, the alliance includes new communication actions and editorial content that will continue to internationally promote the gastronomic richness of both destinations through the digital platforms of the MICHELIN Guide and Visit Argentina.

The 2026 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Buenos Aires & Mendoza confirmed the consolidation of Argentine gastronomy on the international stage. The selection brings together 89 restaurants, including one Two MICHELIN Star restaurant (Aramburu) and thirteen One MICHELIN Star restaurants, four of which were added in the latest edition: Han (Buenos Aires), Cal, Centauro, and La VidA (Mendoza). Furthermore, the Guide distinguishes eleven restaurants with the Bib Gourmand category, which recognizes proposals with excellent value for money, and 64 recommended restaurants, reflecting the diversity, creativity, and quality of the gastronomic offerings in Buenos Aires and Mendoza.

With a culinary scene in constant evolution, a strong regional identity, and growing international projection, Buenos Aires and Mendoza continue to establish themselves as two gastronomic benchmarks in Latin America. The 2027 edition of the MICHELIN Guide will once again highlight the talent, creativity, and quality of their cuisine to millions of travelers worldwide.
