Entre Ríos, one of the main destinations for hot springs in Argentina

From outdoor and indoor pool venues to true water parks, the province of the Argentinian Litoral region is one of the most coveted by those who want to relax, enjoy and rest.

Two million visitors per year, 18 thermal centres in 13 cities: Entre Ríos is the strongest province among the destinations for thermal tourism in Argentina. Visitors, many from neighbouring countries like Uruguay, come in search of wellness and recharging their batteries. And of course, they find it. The properties of its waters are perfect for those who wish to indulge themselves with health or aesthetic treatments, but also for those who are planning a family getaway. Keep reading to find out the characteristics of each one.

Gualeguaychú 

Gualeguaychú is not only a carnival city: its hot springs, a few minutes from the centre, are positioned as the ideal alternative for a relaxing and calm holiday. The 20-hectare premise has a lush grove, pools at around 34 and 40 °C, and beauty and health services. The spa is prepared to offer a luxurious experience with massages, masks, and cosmetology. In addition, people can choose to stay inside the place in a hotel, dorms, and bungalows. If the plan includes children, the water park, opened in summer, is the perfect solution for leisure and fun at the same time. In Gualeguaychú you can also visit Guaychú hot springs with nine pools. 

Basavilbaso 

There are 60 hectares designed for the family, with perfectly equipped bungalows that are just steps away from the saltwater pools.

Chajarí 

In 42 hectares, this centre includes an apart hotel, cabins, bungalows, and it is recognised as one of the most complete spas in the province of Entre Ríos.

Concepción del Uruguay 

They are packed with comfortable cabins, and the best part is its wonderful pools, that reach up to 42 °C.

Concordia 

The Vivente thermal complex is located in this beautiful city of Entre Ríos. In addition to the pools, it has a distinctive feature: it offers the possibility of enjoying a thermal lake. Hotel, bungalows, and cabins are in the same premise. In Concordia you can also visit Punta Viracho and Ayuí hot springs wich are open all year round and have seven integrated pools with temperatures ranging from 37 to 40 °C, as well as hot tubs, a water circuit, a massage centre, and a water park with ten slides. Its waters are sweet and slightly alkaline, with a high presence of minerals, such as calcium, potassium, and iron.

La Paz and María Grande 

On the banks of the Paraná river, and with 11 pools each, the La Paz hot spring complex and the María Grande hot springs are distinguished by their salty waters of marine origin. All the parks offer plenty of accommodation options, restaurants, and beauty centres.

Colón 

This thermal complex is located in Colón, facing the beautiful shores of the Uruguay river. It has 13 pools (nine outdoors), which fuse with beaches and the characteristic flora and fauna of the place. They are open all year round, and one of the services in high demand is the hydro massage.

Federación 

Its history is linked to the first thermal drilling in the Argentinian Mesopotamia, carried out in 1994. The water springs up from depths of more than 1,200 metres, at a rate of 450,000 litres of water per hour, and at a constant temperature of 42.5 °C. With crystal-clear and fast-flowing waters, this is one of the favourite hot springs for tourists.

Villa Elisa 

It is a complex of 41 hectares, with 10 pools of different temperatures and uses. While adults may prefer the passive ones, youngsters are inclined to the recreational pools, with games, slides, and even artificial waves. There is also a four-hectare lake and a wide variety of spa, accommodation, and gastronomic services.
