Closer to Argentina: New Alliances and Air Routes Strengthen International Tourism

15 May 2025

With the expansion of air connectivity, more tourists will be able to travel to Argentina. New destinations, increased frequency, and more options for international travelers.

Argentina is becoming increasingly connected to the world, which is great news for those who dream of discovering its vibrant culture, stunning natural landscapes, and unmatched warmth. The recent alliances and route expansions are a key step in continuing to position the country as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Latin America.

Delta and LATAM: An Alliance That Connects the Americas

Two of the continent’s major airlines, Delta and LATAM, have consolidated a strategic alliance that strengthens the connection between the United States and South America. This partnership, which has been in place for over two years, offers an integrated travel experience with reciprocal loyalty benefits, improved customer service, and, most importantly, more flight and connection options.

Buenos Aires is among the destinations included in their expansion network. This will benefit those who choose Argentina as their next destination, as it translates into greater convenience, more direct routes, and faster connections.

In this context, Delta Air Lines announced that, starting October 27, it will resume its direct seasonal route between New York-JFK and Buenos Aires with a daily nonstop flight.

Córdoba: A Growing Air Hub

Meanwhile, Córdoba continues to establish itself as an air hub in Argentina’s interior, opening new entry points for international tourism. Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella Airport is adding new international routes.

Flybondi will operate regular international flights from Brazil for the first time. Starting December 1, travelers will be able to fly directly from Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis.

In addition, LATAM Airlines Brazil announced that, starting October 26, it will resume the direct Córdoba–São Paulo route with daily frequency.

Argentina, More Accessible to the World

These developments represent a real opportunity for more international tourists to choose Argentina. With more routes, better connections, and airports strengthening as entry points, the country is preparing to welcome more travelers in search of authentic, natural, and cultural experiences in every corner.

Argentina continues to open itself to the world. Today, more than ever, is the perfect time to visit.
