Argentina Shined at ANATO 2025

A strong national presence at Colombia’s most important tourism fair.

Bogotá, Colombia – From February 26 to 28, Argentina participated successfully in the 44th edition of the international tourism fair Vitrina Turística ANATO 2025 in Bogotá. With a delegation consisting of 22 private sector companies, representatives from 8 tourism destinations, the Argentine Embassy in Colombia, the Argentine Chamber of Tourism, Faevyt, Fehgra, and Aerolíneas Argentinas, the country reaffirmed its position as a strategic destination for the Colombian and regional markets.


The inauguration of the Argentine stand was attended by the Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, Daniel Scioli, along with representatives from the private sector, who emphasized the importance of strengthening commercial relationships with tourism companies. Argentina’s main objective at ANATO was to attract new business opportunities and promote strategic agreements in the framework of the open skies policy and the growing opportunities for investment in tourism infrastructure.


A Fair with International Impact

ANATO 2025, which featured 40,000 square meters of exhibition space and hosted 1,500 exhibitors and co-exhibitors, reaffirmed its importance as Colombia’s most significant tourism event and one of the leading fairs in the region.

The event was inaugurated on February 26, 2025, by the President of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies, Paula Cortés, and attended by Colombian President Gustavo Petro.


Argentina’s Commercial Results at ANATO 2025

The Argentine stand became a key hub for networking and business:

1,170 business meetings in the first two days of the fair.

3,000 visitors to the Argentine stand.

Additionally, the fair as a whole achieved significant commercial success:

An estimated 220,000 business contacts generated throughout the event.

Projected business deals worth $128 million throughout the year, a 6% increase compared to 2024.


Strategic Promotion Areas

For 2025, Argentina focused its presence at ANATO on promoting wine and gastronomy, snow tourism, and Route 40, through a comprehensive strategy of training, promotion, and commercialization. Tourism businesses from across Colombia and other countries—including airlines, hotels, tour operators, and travel agencies—actively participated in meetings and business agreements with the Argentine delegation.


Argentina also held strategic meetings with key players in the aviation and commercial sectors to enhance connectivity and boost tourism flow between the two countries.


Pre-ANATO Commercial Actions in Colombia

In the days leading up to ANATO, INPROTUR carried out strategic initiatives in the Colombian market to strengthen Argentina’s presence:

🔹 Expo Aviatur (February 21-23, Guatapé, Antioquia):

Training sessions for over 600 sales representatives, retail agencies, and store managers from Aviatur, Colombia’s largest tourism group.

• Meetings with more than 100 representatives from major global tourism providers.

🔹 Snow Tourism Product Presentation in Bogotá:

Commercial and promotional event in partnership with CAEM, CAT, and national destinations to boost the sale of snow experiences.

Specialized training for Colombian tour operators.

Networking space between Argentine ski resorts, tourism destinations, and businesses.
