Bodega Putruele

San Juan

In the heart of the Tulum Valley, Putruele Winery, founded in 1958 by Don Carlos Putruele, blends Italian heritage with San Juan’s desert terroir to craft intense, well-balanced wines that reflect the soul of the valley.

Founded in 1958 by Italian immigrant Don Carlos Putruele, the winery is located in the traditional Tulum Valley, at the foothills of the Andes in San Juan, Argentina. With over 60 years of history, the Putruele family has developed a modern yet artisanal winery, combining tradition with state-of-the-art winemaking technology.

The vineyards span across the Tulum, Ullum, Zonda, and Pedernal valleys, benefiting from high sun exposure that produces grapes with notable aromatic concentration and structure. The wines are known for their intensity, balance, and expressive character—true reflections of the region’s contrasting climate and terroir.

Putruele opens its doors to visitors, offering guided tours of the vineyards and facilities that allow guests to connect with the winemaking process and discover the essence of their craft, rooted in both family heritage and continuous innovation.
