Bodega Isasmendi

High in the Calchaquí Valleys, Bodega Isasmendi is a boutique refuge in Cachi that blends historical architecture, vineyards at 2,500 masl, and microvinification techniques to showcase the purity of the Andean terroir.

Founded in 2005 by Ricardo Isasmendi and Sylvie Bonnal, the winery began with the purchase of a historic adobe house built by a Norwegian doctor in the early 20th century. Inspired by three migrant stories, today they cultivate 3 hectares sustainably in an exceptional location at 2,500 meters above sea level.

The estate is just steps from Cachi’s main square. Surrounded by pale adobe walls, green wooden doors, and a century-old molle tree in a colonial courtyard, it offers a unique setting for afternoon tastings.

Isasmendi produces approximately 12,000 bottles per year. Its philosophy of microvinification in 400 kg tanks and aging in French oak barrels — combined with precise fermentation control — allows the winery to faithfully express the characteristics of this extreme terroir.
