Bodega El Tránsito

In the heart of Cafayate, just steps from the main square, El Tránsito blends family legacy and high-altitude wines in a cozy yet sophisticated setting—perfect for casual tastings or stepped menus.

Bodega El Tránsito, established in the 1940s, continues the Marini family legacy, rooted in Pietro Marini’s 19th-century immigration from Italy. The winery, at Belgrano 102, is modernized yet retains authentic charm, located just one block from Cafayate’s main square.

Perched at 1,620 meters above sea level in the Calchaquí Valleys, El Tránsito crafts expressive high-altitude wines—especially Torrontés and Malbec—under labels like Pietro Marini, Pedro Moisés, and the exclusive Pata ‘i Lana.

Visitors can enjoy free guided tours that end in tastings of their signature high-altitude wines. Tours cover the modern facilities and winemaking process in a warm, accessible environment typical of Cafayate.
