Bodega Chañarmuyo

La Rioja

Chañarmuyo Winery is in hidden valley where unique wines are born

In the heart of Famatina Valley, in La Rioja, Chañarmuyo Winery stands out for its pioneering spirit and commitment to high-altitude viticulture. At over 1,700 meters above sea level, this vineyard thrives among arid landscapes, clear skies, and ancient soils that give its wines a distinctive identity. Here, nature, history, and culture coexist in a place seemingly untouched by time.

The project began with a bold vision: to transform an unexplored region into a new Argentine wine destination. Today, its wines reflect the intensity of the Riojan sun, the character of the terroir, and the elegance of winemaking focused on showcasing each varietal. The Gran Vino Reserva line and its iconic Tannat, one of the most awarded, exemplify this pursuit of excellence and authenticity.

Chañarmuyo offers more than premium wines—it provides a truly unique wine tourism experience. The Wine Hotel, located within the winery, invites guests to immerse themselves in the calm of the valley, enjoy private tastings, and reconnect with nature. It’s the perfect destination for those looking to unplug and discover a different side of Argentina’s wine scene.

Visiting Chañarmuyo is also a journey into the depths of La Rioja, into the roots of a diverse Argentina that surprises with its quality, hospitality, and ability to reinvent itself while staying true to its essence.
