Bodega Amalaya
Exploring the Calchaquí Valleys at over 1,700 masl is an act of faith and dedication. With an innovative spirit and a strong regional identity, Amalaya cultivates high-altitude vineyards that produce fresh, expressive, and vibrant wines. A project born from curiosity and exploration, it has become a modern reference for Salta’s winemaking.
In the native language, Amalaya means “miracle”. Founded in 2010 by the Hess Group, this winery in Cafayate represents a persistent quest to capture the authentic and the unique from every corner of the Calchaquí Valleys. With organic farming and meticulous vinification, Amalaya reflects the essence of the land through a contemporary lens.
The journey begins at the Wine Bar, which offers privileged views of the Cerro San Isidro. Here, visitors enjoy regional cuisine, wines by the glass or bottle, and the option to join guided tastings or hands-on experiences like blending your own wine. The setting, the light, and the surrounding calm make every visit a memorable moment.
With labels like its Riesling–Torrontés sparkling wine, elegant red blends and expressive varietals, Amalaya offers a diverse and honest portfolio, highlighting the freshness and character of high-altitude vineyards.
