Sumampa Hills

Tour a region of exuberant vegetation, natural beaches, cave paintings and birds to watch.

Have you been to the hills in the South of the province of Santiago del Estero? Here thirty thousand hectares of nature are waiting for you in a protected area: green-colored landscapes; red rock walls covered with airplants; forests that offer you ideal places to go trekking, enjoy camping and watch the native wildlife. Enjoy a unique micro-climate, with temperatures that are lower than those in the plains.

Visit a place which is perfect for bird watching: Pisco Huasi Hill, called the House of Birds. Do you feel like freshening up? Bathe in the waters of Cantamampa creek, Báez dam and El Cajón creek. Amidst rocky walls and virgin forests, walk by water courses and come to the Cóndor Huasi waterfall. Do you like to discover the footprints of history? Come across millenary cave paintings. Breathe well-being in Sumampa Hills.
