Laguna Brava Natural Reserve

Explore a dreamlike natural environment in this Ramsar site of Argentina.

Geographic location: Northwest of the province of La Rioja.

How to get there: from San José de Vinchina (100 km), main city of Vinchina district.

Area: 405,000 hectares.  Altitude: between 2,500 and 4,500 meters above sea level.

Climate: Puna-Andean dry.

Recommended length of stay: 1 to 2 days.

Recommended clothes and gear: take warm clothes all year round, dress in layers, take appropriate footwear to walk on wild zones, a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen and skin moisturizer.

What to do: bird watching, hiking, photo safaris.
