Geographic Location: Southwest region of the Province of San Juan.
How to get here: from the district of Barreal, located 35 km away. You can get to Barreal from the city of Mendoza (215 km) or the city of San Juan (220 km); both have their own airports. There is no public transportation to the park so it is advisable to rent a car or hire a private service.

Altitude: 2,250 meters above sea level.
Climate: Dry. There is a wide temperature range in the region. In summer, the average temperature is 26°C and the highest reaches up to 35°C. In winter, the average temperature is 10°C and the lowest -6°C.
Ideal time of the year: visits to the park are allowed all year round.
Recommended length of stay: 1 to 2 days.
Recommended clothing: due to the temperature changes, it is recommended to dress in layers.
