Carnival in Corrientes

Take part in a one-of-a-kind show, where joy is waiting for you amidst parade floats, dancers and music bands.

The color of the comparsas [carnaval parades]. The rhythm of the music. The magic of the costumes covered in sequins and stones, beads and feathers. Do you want fun and joy? Be part of a show that takes all year to prepare and is shared in summer nights. Discover this tradition that dates back to the 19th century and is part of a cultural identity: Corrientes’ carnival.

In the corsodromo [place where parades take place] of the provincial capital, the epicenter of this show is waiting for you as the parades of comparsas compete with each other. In the neighborhoods and villages, instead, carnival is celebrated on the streets and you are invited to join. Experience it in Paso de los Libres and Santo Tomé, Bella Vista and Mercedes, Curuzú Cuatiá and Monte Caseros, Goya and Santa Lucía Esquina, Empedrado and San Luis del Palmar. Come and enjoy the festival.
