Do you love excursions? Begin by the Atuel Circuit and travel through the tourist village of El Nihuil, the dunes that were the scene of the Dakar, and the Valle Grande [Great Valley] with its emerald green water mirror. Continue on El Sosneado Circuit and explore inactive volcanoes, natural springs and extreme mountain landscapes. Go up Cuesta de los Terneros one thousand meters high. Live it all in the province of Mendoza.

How to get there: By plane, to the airport of the city of San Rafael. By car, via Ruta Nacional 143 or by bus from a large number of points in the country.

Area: 31,235 sq km

Altitude: 690 meters above sea level

Climate: Arid, warm and cold. Dry summers with wide temperature range and more humid winters with probable snowfall.

Recommended length of stay: 2 to 4 days.

Recommended clothing and gear: Take warm clothes in winter (July to September). In summer (December to March), take a light coat for the night. Also, take comfortable preferably light-colored clothes, insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or cap. Wear suitable footwear for the activity to be carried out.
