How to get there: From San Miguel de Tucumán up to Concepción via Ruta Nacional 38, from Concepción to Alpachiri via Ruta Nacional 65 and, from there, via Ruta Provincial 330.
Area: 70,000 hectares.
Altitude: Some mountains of the park are over 5,500 meters above sea level.
Climate: Sub-tropical dry, with a wide temperature range due to the altitude.
Recommended length of stay: 1 to 8 days.
Recommended clothing and gear: dress in layers, to adapt to huge temperature changes. Take insect repellent.
