NODO: Contemporary Art Comes Alive in the Streets of Buenos Aires

From May 8 to 10, 2025, a new edition of NODO – Art Gallery Circuit takes place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This event invites visitors to explore galleries with free activities, talks, exhibitions, and guided tours.

Three days, eight circuits, over 60 galleries, and hundreds of artists—NODO is a unique opportunity to discover the vibrant Argentine contemporary art scene in the city of Buenos Aires. From 2 PM to 8 PM, the city turns into an open-air gallery with free and public events.


Organized by MERIDIANO, the Argentine Chamber of Contemporary Art Galleries, NODO invites attendees to explore eight neighborhood circuitsRecoleta, Retiro, Palermo, Villa Crespo, San Telmo, La Boca, Microcentro, and Torre Macro—featuring guided tours, talks, exhibitions, performances, screenings, and artist encounters. Over 600 artists will be represented in the 68 participating galleries.

When, Where, and How to Join NODO

  • When: Thursday, May 8 – Saturday, May 10, from 2 PM to 8 PM


  • Where: Across 8 gallery circuits throughout Buenos Aires: Recoleta, Retiro, Palermo, Villa Crespo, San Telmo, La Boca, Microcentro, and Torre Macro


  • How to get there: Each circuit is walkable and connected by public transport. Guided tours require prior registration.


Highlights of This Edition

One of the standout features is the exhibition “Los encuentros impredecibles” (“Unpredictable Encounters”) in the lobby of Torre Macro, curated by Lara Marmor. The show brings together works by artists from across Argentina and reflects on art in times of social and ecological transformation.


There will also be a public Talks Program featuring guests from Mexico, Germany, Spain, and Brazil. Highlights include a round table at the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art and a lecture by Brazilian curator Thiago de Paula Souza at the Amigos del Bellas Artes Auditorium.


The event will include an acquisition program with national and international museums and institutions, and a mediation program with guided walking tours of each circuit (prior registration required).



To close the event, on Saturday night, ArtLab will host a party to celebrate artistic creativity and innovation.
