National Parks
Protected ParadisesAt each region of the country, the Argentine Administration of National Parks has protected areas to keep representative samples of the huge biodiversity of the land.
3 of the 34 Argentine National Parks have been declared Patrimony of Mankind by the UNESCO: Iguazú Waterfalls, Talampaya Canyon and Los Glaciares.
Apart from these parks, there are about 250 protected areas under local, provincial or private jurisdictions. They are recognized by their names: Provincial Parks, Forest Reservations, Educative Shelters, Biosphere Reservations, Natural Reservations and Natural Monuments.
