Santa Fé de la Vera Cruz

Known as the “Convention City,” Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, the capital of the Province of Santa Fe, is located in the middle of the Pampa plains, on the banks of an incredible system of streams, pools, small and large rivers, such as the Salado River and the Paraná River, the latter being the second river system in size of South America. It has one of the most important biodiversities of the world, making this city’s natural environment incredibly beautiful.

SIGHTS
Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz combines colonial style buildings with modern constructions. The most antique buildings are situated around the Plaza de Mayo square, center of the old city:the School and the Church of the Compañía de Jesús, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the San Francisco Convent, the History Museum of the Province, the Local Theater, the Colonial Ethnography Museum and the Experimental Zoology Station, with regional endangered species.

However, its riverside and the recently opened La Ribera Complex (with a top hotel, a convention center, a casino and a shopping mall) give the city a modern appearance. Two important shopping circuits, Estación Recoleta and the Aristóbulo del Valle outdoor shopping mall, make it the most outstanding urban area of the north of the city. Santa Fe also stands out due to the sports and tourist activities offered:fishing, hunting, waterskiing, windsurfing, safaris, golfing, canoeing, flora and fauna watching, as well as walks and horse rides on the islands. It also features the widest water facility in South America, suitable for all kinds of activities.

For nature enthusiasts, the Islas de Santa Fe National Park has been recently inaugurated. It is the first one of the province and it features 2,600 hectares (6,424.74 acres). There, a significant area of the eco-region called “Delta and Islands of the Paraná River”, with unique characteristics, is safeguarded.

Its food, traditional alfajores (Argentine small cake), beer (produced by Cervecería Santa Fe, one of the most modern industrial plants in the world), and the well-known warm hospitality of its people come together to make this place a unique destination.

EVENT VENUES
Santa Fe has high-performance training centers, a street racing circuit, water sports facilities that are unique in South America, exhibition centers, antique theaters, parks with amphitheaters for outdoors shows, meeting rooms overlooking the river, and everything is just minutes away from the city center.

It is an impressive 4,000 m² (43,055.64 ft²) building without pillars. It has three entrances (two of them are big enough for trucks and machinery) and a big open space of around 13 hectares (32.12 acres), making it ideal for large-scale events and outdoor exhibitions.
