All the towns located within this municipality share great characteristics: beautiful beaches, an endless sea, charming forests, a quiet atmosphere, fresh air and an ingenious architecture which is in perfect communion with nature. Golf and polo courses, tennis courts, and one sports center, all with an excellent infrastructure, turn this place into a perfect option for holding sports events or complementing all kinds of meetings.

A unique place that offers a particular combination of beaches, dunes and thick pine forests. Located along sandy lanes surrounded by trees and vegetation, visitors can find elegant and exclusive houses, which are the ideal retreat for a placid stay by the sea. A hectic cultural life and the offer of sports activities like golf and polo complete the singular style of this attractive seaside destination.

Excursions, tours and sports in the impressive sand dunes, horse rides and walks along the beach, water sports in the sea, and fishing are some of the main activities you can develop in this city.

There are also other towns in this municipality: Cariló, Valeria del Mar, Ostende and Montecarlo. These are all connected with each other and provide more services for hosting events of all kinds and magnitudes.

SIGHTS
Among the oldest pine trees and eucalyptuses you can find the historical center of Pinamar, which features the first houses built by pioneers. Representative buildings can be visited; for example, the first church, Nuestra Señora de la Paz, with its Tuscany-style bell tower, or the first hotel of Pinamar. Both buildings were built by Jorge Bunge, founder of the city. The city center also features several shopping circuits and restaurants.

Along the huge beaches there are low sand dunes which date back to 3,000 years ago, as well as high or live sand dunes, which are constantly moved by the wind and can be up to 40 meters (131 ft) high. A vast sand desert where sports such as sand boarding and four wheel safaris or ATVs rides can be enjoyed.

Ostende is the oldest of these towns and it preserves an important historical heritage. The Viejo Hotel Ostende is still standing there, as well as the esplanade and the remains of a fishing dock built in heart pine -all these created by the two Belgians who found the village.

Valeria del Mar is a family-friendly alternative, with wide beaches, tamarisk groves and pine tree forests next to the sea.

Like Pinamar, Cariló is one of the most exclusive beach resorts of the Argentine Atlantic coast. Its name comes from a Mapuche word meaning "green dune." Cariló offers an excellent tourist-oriented infrastructure to meet the expectations of the most demanding visitors; in addition, visitors can enjoy a walk through the forests and stroll along its picturesque shoppingcircuit, a very warm and attractive place. There is also a Golf Club and an equestrian center.
