Necochea
Located on the Atlantic Coast, Necochea boasts magnificent 300-meter (984 ft) wide beaches and the Quequén Port. A must-see spot in this seaside town is the Rambla Municipal, an esplanade from where visitors can appreciate the vastness and beauty of the beaches located along 70 km (43 mi) of coast. In addition, there is a large shopping area, with a wide variety of shopping circuits, handmade products and regional delicacies, product of the regional cuisine.
Necochea is an ideal destination for those who love water sports and recreational fishing, which can be practiced in the Quequén Grande River, in the lakes or on the coast. Moreover, the features of this area, the sea, its extensive beaches and its sand dunes are the ideal setting for extreme sports and photographic safaris. Necochea offers other activities such as rafting, canoeing and slalom, which can be practiced in the Quequén River rapids. Also, there is a particular 18-hole golf course which was built on forested sand dunes.
EVENT VENUES
All kinds of events, especially sports events, are held in this city. The indoor Sports Stadium can accommodate 3,000 people and has a conference room with 200 seats.
HOW TO GET THERE
Necochea is located 528 km (329 mi) away from the city of Buenos Aires and it can be accessed by land through three different routes: 88, 226 and 228. Since it is near Mar del Plata’s airport, visitors can also fly to Necochea through this city.
