The capital city of this province, also called Mendoza, is located at the foot of the Andes and it is the most important city in Cuyo, famous for Mount Aconcagua (the highest peak in the Americas), for its delicious wines (like the outstanding Malbec) and because it is the place where the Father of the Country, the General San Martín, performed his heroic deeds.

San Rafaelis the second most important city in the province. There, you will find the Atuel Canyon, a geological remnant from the beginnings of the world that the wind and rain, like hammer and chisel, shaped over the centuries producing the most diverse natural sculptures.

Another city, Malargüe, is located in the south-west region of the province and it features the Pierre Auger International Observatory, an international project that boasts a Convention Center in a privileged location, only a few kilometers away from the world famous Las Leñas ski center.

One of the traditional and most popular attractions in this province is the Wine Road, in which visitors can discover different wineries, and taste all the wines produced on-site, a unique alternative to host social events, exclusive corporate events and original incentive trips.

San Juanis a beautiful land that combines the stunning beauty of high mountains and hills with fertile valleys, perfect fishing spots and Andean flora and fauna protected in large reserves that form the Protected Areas Provincial System.

This province offers diverse activities: from hot springs with excellent healing properties to folk music in Jáchal, the provincial capital of tradition, which boasts a magnificent windmill (a National Historical Monument), a hydraulic engineering work that reminds visitors of the rich agricultural past of this zone. Rural tourism around fantastic ranch houses in arid zones, agro tourism, religious tourism in the Difunta Correa sanctuary (“la Difuntita”, patron saint of transport workers), adventure tourism -all modalities with excellent service providers-, cultural tourism, scientific tourism, and geological tourism are only some of the many options that this province offers.

Located 1,140 km (708 mi) from Buenos Aires, the city of San Juan, capital of the province, is 650 meters above sea level and features a modern architecture surrounded by nature and a variety of historical and cultural activities. The modern Guillermo Barrena Guzmán Conference and Convention Center, located in the main green area, is a unique place to host meetings, surrounded by Mayo Park. Also typical of this province are authentic handicrafts and wineries, where vineyards become into delicious regional wines.

The Ullum Dam and the modern Cuesta del Viento Dam reservoirs are the perfect setting for water sports, especially high-competition windsurfing. Another place worth visiting is the Zonda ravine, located in the Federico Cantoni Park (Rivadavia Department) where diverse facilities invite visitors to relax outdoors. In this famous ravine, there is the Amazing Eduardo Copello racetrack, at the foot of the hills.

Another remarkable attraction is the Ischigualasto Provincial Park and Natural Reserve, which was declared -along with Talampaya National Park- Archaeological Site by the UNESCO. This is a unique paleontological site since the most important sedimentary sequence from the Triassic Period as well as a large amount of fossils from those times can be found there.
