Chubut
The province of Chubut is one of the largest Patagonian Lands and its touristic point closest to Buenos Aires is the city of Puerto Madryn, 1.382 Kms distant. Its maritime coastland is one of the richest sites as far as species diversity is concerned.
Bird Watching - mainly penguins - happens to be the preferred choice for many visitors. Sea lions, seals, killer whales and the Southern Right Whale are the other main characters of this natural stage.
Adventure activities are also an option: winter activities at centers like La Hoya, trekking, mountain activities, bike tours, canoeing, rafting or paragliding. For those willing to discover the cultural influences of each region, some towns like Trevelin or Gaiman keep almost intact certain features of the Welsh culture.
The tea ceremony, together with the elaboration of traditional cakes, is an experience worth to be “tasted”.
Its national parks, among which outstands the Los Alerces National Park, are suitable for adventure and ecotourism, mainly the observation and bird watching and the wide variety of their rich flora and fauna species.
Tourists are seduced by the Patagonian ancient expresstrain La Trochita, called that way because of the narrow separation between its rails. Its old wooden wagons are ideal to enjoy the circuit that covers part of the southern lands and permits to unveil the region’s unmistakable charm.
La Pampa
The capital city of the province of La Pampa is Santa Rosa, 607 kms far from the City of Buenos Aires. The province’s large surface, that made famous the Argentine Pampas due to its immense green plains, is also birthplace of the Gaucho traditions and of many creole festivities like the National Festival of Horse Breaking and Folk Music.
Rural Tourism, thermal waters and watching animals at their own habitats are perfect ways to know this province. La Pampa is a land of contrasts: cities and open fields, fun and meditation, urban clothes and rural traditional outfits.
Hunting and fishing at private preserves, particularly of red deers, pumas and wild boars, are frequent activities. The Luro Park Reserve and the Lihué Calel National Park are protected areas that became an apropriate frame for ecoturism and adventure.
Neuquén
The province of Neuquén is 1.156 Kms far from Buenos Aires. In Mapuche language this name means “brave, impetuous, arrogant”; it defined the most remarkable characteristics of its native inhabitants.

The Domuyo, the highest mount of the Patagonia, is an attraction of international hierarchy that permits to enjoy trekking and mountain activities.

The capital city - also called Neuquén - is one of the most important cities in the Patagonian region. Next to the basin area is the vineyard production zone.
The third region - of exceptional beauty - is known as the Route of The Lakes, the most popular among tourists, with a wide range of options for adventure, national parks, forests and lakes, a constant contrast between greens and blues in summer, ochre colors in autumn and a white snow cloak in winter.
The fourth region is northwards with Thermal Tourism centers, perfect for hosting visitors willing to relax while they enjoy the hot waters that - since the time of the Mapuches - have been conceived as having special spiritual powers.

In Río Negro, the warm and transparent sea, the valleys with different shades of green, the steppe and the cave paintings live together with adventure tourism in mounts and meltwaters. The diverse native fauna gives place to activities like hunting, fishing, bird watching, diving and gastronomy.
As part of the Patagonia, it features excellent weather and geographic conditions for mountain activities and paragliding. In the suburbs of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, we find the ski center Catedral one of the most important centers in the southern hemisphere and permanent venue for Ski and Snowboard Tournaments for both professionals and amateurs. Nautical sports become popular in summer while the lake banks attract tourists with the first strong sunshine.

It is one of the Patagonian provinces preferred by tourists and it receives an important and increasing number of visitors in its Southern region. Lakes, glaciers, forests, mountains and steppe constitute the beauty of this inhospitable but capturing landscape.
Between September and May, El Calafate becomes the most important touristic center receiving tourists from every nationality, motivated to know the imposing and legendary Perito Moreno Glacier, close to the Magallanes Peninsula, barely separated by a narrow deviation of the Lago Argentino. This magnificent ice river which is among the few glaciers that are not retreating, is the most visited place in the Los Glaciares National Park and it is one of the two Patrimonies of Mankind of the province.
The other one is the Cueva de las Manos, famous for hosting valuable cave paintings. At the northern area of the park, the main characters on stage are the Fitz Roy, Chalténand Torre mounts. Unanimously considered to be among the most difficult mounts to be climbed, they are above the 3.000 mts altitude and they are a personal challenge for professional climbers.
For those seeking adventure, Santa Cruz also hosts the capital of trekking, El Chaltén, and the start-up of the magical Road N° 40, more than 5,000 Kms long covering the country from south to north. Known as the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia is 3.171 Kms far from Buenos Aires. Tierra del Fuego - "Fireland" - is an archipelago formed by the Isla Grande and hundreds of minor islands until Cape Horn. It is the last visit before starting navigation towards The Antartida.
Catamaran cruises sailing the Beagle Channel, the Lighthouse at the End of the World, its excellent gastronomy based on centolla (king crab), shellfish and lamb, its winter center Cerro Castor with the longest snow season (June - October), sport fishing, ecotourism, and the fabulous "End of the World Train" which recalls the story of the convicts confined to the Ushuaia prison, are some of the many attractions of Tierra del Fuego.
The whole territory has permanent options to combine active tourism with nature. Tierra del Fuego National Park preserves species of sub-antartic forests, where live red foxes, guanacos, rabbits, beavers and condors.
The observation of marine birds is another attraction, mainly at La Pataia Bay. Year after year, adventurers, explorers and climbers arrive from different parts of the world and they leave fascinated by the proposals that these lands offer.
This region is comprised by the provinces of Santa Cruz, Chubut, Río Negro, Neuquén, La Pampa and Tierra del Fuego. The Andean Mountain Range displays all its greatness in the Patagonian provinces. Millenary silent forests with native vegetation extend to the banks of crystalline waters.
