Surf

At 400 km to the south of the city of Buenos Aires, there is a corridor of 100 km beaches, characterized by its good conditions for surf practice. The best season is autumn. When the off-shore winds are more frequent and mainly after a sudestada (wind coming from the Ocean), the surfers can enjoy of waves that reach almost 3 mt. At the same time, surf can be practiced at Playa Unión, the southernmost place in South America for this sport.

The coast surf corridor starts in Mar del Plata, passes by the Chapadmalal cliffs and continues to the south towards Miramar and Necochea. It is the most prestigious surf point in the country, with about 100 km. of beaches.

Due to the cold waters, it is recommended the use of neoprene suits almost all the year. In summer, many people seem to be fighting for the waves, but that is the exception.
