Golf in Buenos Aires and the Atlantic Coast

Golf courses in Argentina are mostly concentrated in the city of Buenos Aires and the northern suburbs.

The City, as well as the Plains, feature traditional style golf courses like the Jockey Club, Olivos Golf Club and Hurlingham which opened their doors by the ends of the XIX century and beginnings of the XX.

There are also modern golf courses and American style courses like Pilar Golf Club and the Buenos Aires Golf Club which hosted the World Cup in 2.000, won by Tiger Woods and David Duval. The Atlantic Coast also features high level golf courses, like Los Acantilados and Playa Grande, in Mar del Plata.

Both courses hosted tournaments with the participation of the best golfers of their time. The fancy coast cities Pinamar and Cariló also have excellent golf courses. Miramar’s golf course is the unique one with characteristic links. Close to the coast line, Tandil and Sierra de la Ventana have their own challenging courses.
