Golf enjoyed in a different way

Argentina has about 300 golf courses in the whole country, with the option of choosing among diverse landscapes and touristic attractions to complement this sport's practice. Some of the places with golf courses that visitors cannot miss are: Buenos Aires and its prettiest suburbs, the main cities of the Atlantic Coast, the City of Córdoba and the Patagonia. In the regions of the North, Litoral and Cuyo, the cities of Salta, Tucumán, Santa Fe and Mendoza have golf courses worth to be visited. Besides, in these regions, golf lovers may enjoy their gastronomy and luxury hotels, in combination with fishing, skiing, thermal spas, congresses or wine routes.

From 1.995 to 2.004, the number of professional golfers has increased a 50% in Argentina. Many golf courses opened from the Northern extreme Jujuy to the Southern extreme Ushuaia. Just to have an idea of the historical value of golf in Argentina, the Local Open Tournament, which is near its 106th edition, is one of the oldest domestic competitions in the world.

Roberto de Vicenzo, José Jurado, Vicente Fernández, Eduardo Romero, Ángel Cabrera, Andrés Romero and José Cóceres are just some of the most important Argentine golfers. Together with them and their glory, this sport keeps growing in Argentina.
